In 2026, we set a fun goal for ourselves — to go on a wing hunt every single month!
Some will be quick local stops, others will turn into full day trips, and a few will be overnight adventures. No matter the distance, the goal is the same: find new angel and butterfly wing murals, take photos, and continue building the Winged Walls Worldwide map.
What started as a simple photo in front of a set of wings has grown into a passion project documenting over 3,500 wing murals around the world. Now, we’re turning that passion into a year-long challenge.
We love that every wing hunt is different. Some days we discover hidden gems right in our own town, and other times we plan entire trips around visiting multiple murals in new cities. It’s such a fun (and often free!) way to explore.
Along the way, we’ll be sharing our finds, adding new locations to the map, and highlighting the incredible artists behind these murals.
