We met at my house around 10am, got our plans together, checked out outfits (of course 😄), and hit the road heading north.
📍 Stop #1: Petersburg, Indiana
Our first stop was Petersburg—a place we had actually just been a couple of months ago. At the time, we had no idea there were wings there… and of course, we found out after the trip 🙃
So naturally, we had to go back!
The plan was to grab coffee first, but that didn’t quite happen…
We got completely sidetracked by a cute little boutique next door (no regrets). So technically:
- Stop #1: Shop 🛍️
- Stop #2: Coffee ☕ at Fizz Me Up
Then we made our way to our first official wing stop:
- 📍 Mi Patio Mexican Cuisine – 2 sets of wings on one wall (always love a double win!)
❓ The Mystery Wings Mission (aka… The Dreaded Unknown List)
Next up… we went after one from the unknown list 😬
The wings were listed in Monroe City (but there’s also a Monroe, Indiana… so already a red flag). The town was small, but we were determined.
We drove around scouting buildings… nothing.
Stopped at the only gas station… asked around…
No one had ever heard of them.
Boooooo. Total dud. 😩
But hey—that’s part of the hunt sometimes!
🌮 Stop #3: Loogootee, Indiana
On to the next stop—another Mexican restaurant (we clearly have a theme going 😄)
We made it to Loogootee and stopped for lunch at:
- Los Amigos Mexican Restaurant
Great food ✔️
And even better…

🛍️ Bonus Stop: Thrift Shop Score
Of course, we couldn’t pass up the local thrift shop.
And Tisha absolutely scored—she found some really cute dresses! 🙌
🪽 Final Thoughts
It was a short trip, but we did exactly what we set out to do—added new wings for the month of May ✅
Not every hunt is perfect (looking at you, mystery wings 👀), but that’s what makes it fun. You never know what you’ll find… or won’t find.
